Shelton (USAF) ordered the renaming of the Space Badge to Space Operations Badge and changed the rules associated with how Airmen are eligible to earn the badge. Officers wear the Command badge after 15 years in the specialty and enlisted personnel wear the Master badge as a Master sergeant or above with 5 years in the specialty from award of the 7-skill level.
